Wapashe Hubs
Our work as a resource centre is to help facilitate a sustainable access to information, effective communication and education. We prefer the development and use of transferable concepts so that the villager with the least of education can effectively make informed choices about their own lives and communities. We do this through our Wapashe Hubs. Wapashe is a Kiswahili word that loosely means "pass-it-on-to-them". That is exactly what we want to do here at Bamboo Resource Centre. We want to pass-on to others information, education, communication and technologies that enable climate change mitigation, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods development, environmental entrepreneurship and protection of bio-diversity. Bamboo plant and its eco-system is our entry point.
